Padraig Larkin – Traditional Straw Weaver & Basket Maker
Padraig Larkin is a traditional basket and straw weaver based in Cloghan, Co. Offaly. Working with willow, hazel and oat straw, he is passionate about preserving Ireland’s weaving heritage and sharing traditional skills with new generations. During his demonstration, visitors can watch ancient Irish straw-weaving techniques come to life as Padraig creates beautiful handcrafted pieces using methods that have been passed down through the centuries
