Following the huge success of last year’s Blacksmithing Demonstration with James O’Connor, a master of traditional blacksmithing, we’re bringing him back with a bang! This time, James will be joined by over 20 skilled blacksmiths and traditional craft experts from all over, for a jam-packed weekend filled with the art of forging, blacksmithing skills, and much more..

Enjoy watching Padraig Larkin using ancient Irish straw-making techniques to make baskets and other items of interest. The demo will be free and available for everyone to view.

Join Seamus Kirwan in preserving the old craft of hand-spinning wool on spinning wheels, drop spindles or walking wheel!  Come along and enjoy the demonstration. Seamus will bring several different styles of spinning wheels and drop spindles to the workshop so you will also have the opportunity to try these skills.
